Bishop Bruce E. Walker
Bruce Eliot Walker is the second child of Deacon Ezell and Nora Walker. Born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, he received his education in the Kansas City, Kansas School District, graduating from Wyandotte High School in 1992.

He went on to further his education at Neosho Community College, Donnelly College and Calvary Bible College. He is currently attending Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, majoring in Pastoral Counseling. Pastor Walker received Christ as a young man at his family church, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late, Rev. Otis L. Cobbins. While at Macedonia, he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Praise and Worship Leader . God called him to the Ministry in 1994. He served as Interim Pastor at Macedonia until 2009, when he joined the Greater Corinthian Church of the Christ under the leadership of Pastor Raymond Davis and served as Associate Minister.

At Greater Corinthian, he also served with the Youth for Christ Program, the Mass Choir and as a Worship Leader. Pastor Walker was employed with the Unified Government in Kansas City , Kansas for 21 years until he fully retired to focus on the Kingdom building of God. Pastor Walker has led several ministries throughout his tenure, including Prison Ministry, Evangelism, Youth Ministry, Praise and Worship, Outreach Ministry and Evangelism.
Bishop walker is married to pastor calandra walker and is the proud Pastor of New Hope Church of the Christ. He believes in preaching and teaching the Word of God and more importantly, that we must “live” the Word of God. Preaching and teaching is his passion and he is grateful to God for allowing him to do what he was called and born to do. He enjoys the sound of laughter while sharing the word of God. The proud father of 3 beautiful children, Winifred, Reagan and Cheyenne, he is truly blessed to have such a wonderful family and to be able to instill the things of God in their lives and to be a great example for them to follow. His sincere goal is to hear the words “Thou Good and Faithful Servant when he stands before the Lord.
