Pastor Calandra walker, a native of Kansas City, MO and graduate of Southwest High School has been professing Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior since an early age. Growing up in church she was always seen exhorting the Lord and impacting lives through song. Proven to be a faithful steward, the Lord entrusted her with a greater anointing. Humbled by the gifts that were being poured into her, she acknowledged the tug of the Holy Spirit and accepted her call into ministry in October 1999. She has since been ministering the Word of God with conviction.

 

Calandra serves as administrative pastor of new hope church of the christ non denominational under the leadership of her husband, bishop bruce walker . Pastor walker has earned an Associates Degree in Psychology-Christian Counseling, and a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Behavioral Science and Communications. In addition to being a women's empowerment life coach, she is a professor at New Vision Bible College, and the author of the book entitled “Rejection didn’t Create Me God Did!” Calandra is also, the owner of D’Vine Connections Hair Salon, an atmosphere where both natural and spiritual beauty is cultivated.

 

in 2022, pastor walker established Glow...For His Glory, the purpose of this ministry is to inspire women of God to GLOW for Jesus. This ministry encourages, builds, and empowers women to prioritize themselves in God, for the purpose of being the best version of themselves and walking in everything that God has called them to, without being left depleted.

 

Pastor Calandra walker is an exemplary model of the Proverbs 31 woman, successfully balancing life as an entrepreneur, mother, grandmother, and ministry leader. Her authentic anointing stretches to reach women and youth. Understanding that where you are is not who you are, she declares “I’ve learned how to be content in whatever state I’m in” Phil 4:11-13. Her heart beats for the ways of God and she is on a mission to empower the people of God!
